Connect with Missouri Master Naturalists

The Missouri Master Naturalists are a group of volunteers sponsored by the Missouri University Extension and the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Their mission is to promote the cause of conservation and educate the public through programs, events, and projects. There are local chapters throughout the state that periodically meet to plan their next program or project and encourage one another in the cause as they celebrate conservation efforts everywhere.

The local chapter for southwest Missouri is the Chert Glades Chapter and meets south of Joplin. You can make a connection with them through Facebook and their website chertglades.org. The Chert Glades Chapter is always looking for like-minded people to join with them in the efforts to spread the word and help change attitudes toward ecology and our environment. Everyone one is encouraged to join. Email us at info@chertglades.org for more information.
