Why Recycling Matters

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

As the biggest consumers on the planet, we humans also rank number one in waste. We are consistently using up the earth’s natural resources.

Resources are needed to live - food, water, shelter, and energy, but as the human population on Earth grows, and more resources are needed, the impact on the planet increases. Recycling is one way to reduce this impact and the need for new materials by re-using discarded materials in innovative new ways.

We highly promote the recycle concept on many levels and educate for a better existence for all of us who share the earth as home. We are proud to say that we recycle aluminum, plastic bottles, cardboard, paper, metals, and glass. In the park, you will find recycle bins to put your plastic bottles and aluminum cans. We take our recycleables to the Joplin Recycle Center to process the materials we gather in order to eliminate more waste from ending up in a landfill.
