Your Audubon Center works to conserve wildlife habitat by engaging people of all ages in education, conservation and action. You make it possible for the Audubon Center to continue educating visitors and residents on the unique chert glade environment, water quality and the wildlife that is thriving here.
By joining the Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center, you will get a chance to protect our area's wildlife habitats while supporting our critical, environmental education programs. Audubon Center Membership brings you the satifaction of knowing you are helping to make a difference in protecting our great natural heritage and ensuring the Audubon Center will be here for the community for generations to come.
Your generous donation of time and expertise helps educate the public and preserve and enhance the unique natural resources of Wildcat Park and the area.The volunteer program is open to individuals age 16 or older who are interested in nature education and natural history. No experience is needed, as all volunteers will attend a required training program about the center and its educational programs, as well as individual training for specific roles.
Once you become a volunteer you can assist in all facets of running the center. Giving a minimum of 40 hours a year, volunteers work indoors or out, with the public or behind the scenes.They provide critical support at special events, assist the public visiting the nature center and help maintain the animals and exhibits. Most importantly, they have a special desire to connect people to nature.
